Jen, all NSA meetings are open for all to attend. PWS, SLPs, friends, family or anyone who has an interest in stuttering. The SLPs are actually encouraged to attend becuase they can really learn a lot from PWS about stuttering and perhaps how to improve their treatment program for specific clients. The best way to get a client to go is to either offer to go with them (sometimes it is scary going alone) or to contact the chapter leader on their behalf to help them be more comfortable - or they can contact them directly. Getting to the first meeting is the hardest but once they do, they will be hooked! I would also try to provide your clients with as much material about the NSA as you can. Once they become familiar and comfortable with the organization and often, even the thought of such an organization, they may be more likely to go and make the effort. Good luck in your career! Thanks for the great question!
