Roya, my feelings about telling people I stutter because I am fearful they will not really "know the true me" is most likely an avoidance behavior. I have never been asked that so great question! I think after a certain way for so long, it is hard to break that habit. I know they will accept me but it's really becoming vulnerable opening up that big piece of yourself that they have not seen before. Just not ready to do it. Maybe one day though!
