This question is directed to David Lavid. If a stutterer was to have particular social fobias or apparent social indiference. would it be pertinent for a therapist to ask for, or indeed a stutter to also ask for a physiatric assesment. I ask this question because there appears to be more than the average spattering of comorbid afflictions amongst stutterers, myself included. Probably here in Australia you would be more likely to be referred to a psychologist rather than a psychiatrist. In contrast to the USA were I beleive it would be the other way around.
