Ed, You're a great writer. You seem to be a "died in the wool" Van Riper fan. (I think he was brilliant myself.) You have good ideas, many of which I think are useful. Still, whereas I don't recall that we have ever met, I experience you as a person who does not deal well with those who don't agree with your positions. For example, you seem to have a difficult time accepting the fact that many are not as suspicious of the therapy most SLPs provide as you appear to be as (e.g., assuming that our failure to reply to your message means anything more than that). I have learned that you often have the last word. Some may not have replied because--just maybe--it's not worth the effort to offer an alternative view.
