Here's what this naive consumer recommends: Think of posters in the offices of every SLP who professes competence to treat stuttering, posters that read: "We at ASHA want you the public to know you have rights. If you have concerns, contact ASHA's ombudsman for stuttering at 1-800-_ _ _- _ _ _ _." Questions for the silent professors: Why does one have to be naive to think the above can and should happen?
