Thanks, Jim. Bob and I agree with you that therapy is worth it, or we wouldn't stay in the field :-) While I cannot say that every SLP and/or researcher endorses the "big picture" view of stuttering (not just fluency counts), the word is definitely spreading. Both Bob and I review for journals, and it is now almost a universal expectation that therapy reports must address more than fluency results if they want to get published. If that keeps up, we will definitely see a "sea change" in expectations for what effective therapies should address and improve.
