Many people know about the SSI, but not many people know about OASES? Should OASES be used in conjunction with the SSI? (is that the intent of OASES?) What are the potential weaknesses of the SSI? Or is OASES a suitable replacement for the SSI. What about potential software programs in the future that can provide a standard measurement of stuttering severity. Good idea or bad idea. A different question: It would seem that each clinican has to make her own judgement and the results (different interpretations of stuttering events in speech samples) can be easily manipulated to show good improvement after treatment.
