Ingenious, to say the least! Should be an excellent way to help the child conceptualize the events that have occurred or will occur on his journey toward fluency. It also encourages the child to think realistically about his goals and their order of attainment, and it teaches the child to "make the map fit the territory," that is, to have the map be an accurate representation of what the child can and will actually do in therapy.And it should be fun to do -- most kids like to draw maps.
