Dear Peter, I liked your article and stuttertalk.com. Listen to it every week. In Toastmastes, a public speaking education program, pausing is really important. I am sure many PWS would like to utilize "pausing" but there is always a chance other people will interject. As a person who stutters, one of the fears and frustrations is of other people talking for you or finishing your words/sentences. This is why PWS do not like to pause (the fear). Do you think it it alright for PWS to politely tell others to let them finish. Give a warning. Or is that just too rude. ex. excuse me, I was talking. The bottom line, do you advise advertise and introduce yourself as a stutterer. The best technique is to tell other people that you sutter? Thanks!
