Peter i admire the great work that you are doing! I want to clear my question: In fluency shaping -when you are in the moment of stuttering, you need to stop all the effort to speak ,to take a new breathing and say the word very slowly. i was never succeed to do it because i never could stopping the effort to speak when i was stuck . I looked for another kind of correction that will help me to stay in my effort to speak and to be able to go on, so i found the pull out. And this is what i didn't understand -did pausing when you feel you are going to stutter is stopping totally the effort to speak or something else? And about the combination of pausing in fluency shaping-in Israel there is an expert in fluency shaping that participate in most of the fluency shaping meetings-and always he say to the participates to speak in short sentences and to stop and take a breath when ever they can. I asked him how it fit to the fluency shaping tools? And he answered: in the practice you need to speech in 2 second for syllable and to take a breath- so when you speak more quickly you need also to stop more often that usual. thank you again for all
