Amazing paper-- I am a graduate student at NYU getting my masters in Speech Pathology. I thought your paper gave such good insight into a personal victory over the stigmas of stuttering that many people hold. What, in your opinion, causes these stigmas? And why do you think the people in your area growing up did not place these stigmas on you? Also, if you think you told your interviwers before your interview that you stuttered (and made it seem as though you accepted it and they should to) do you think they would have had a better attitude towards it? It seems as though you picked up a lot of their negative emotions towards the stuttering, but do you think you could have turned it around and made them feel confident in you because you were confident in your so-called "flaw"?
