Reuben, first of all, Congratulations! It is obvious that you are a self-motivated, successful individual who has truly found a way to enjoy his life and continue to strive for living life well. I could not agree more with your statment that it is not about acheiving perfect fluency, but rather working towards good communication. As a future SLP, I would like this to always be my goal with people who stutter and with people under my care overall. In your opinion, do you think incorporating this type of task in therapy for an adult or adolescent might be helpful in teaching the art of self-motivation and endurance? You are truly an example of success, thank you for sharing your inspiring story.
