[[I have read that relaxation is helpful trying to push through severe blocks. The nototion of meditation is enlightening!]] Dear Kimm: I'm pretty sure I know what you mean about relaxing into a stutter, but, since, some who might read your post may not, I'm going to clarify by saying relaxing into a stutter is just that, i.e., softening the musculature and letting the stutter happen rather than forcing it in any way for any reason. I wrote about incorporating relaxation into therapy in the 2005 ISAD paper, "Shenpa, Stuttering, and Me," which is accessible through The Stuttering Homepage. You might find it helpful to take a look at it. >>> I'm glad being introduced to the benefits of meditation for addressing stuttering problems has been helpful to you. Best wishes, Ellen-Marie Silverman
