I was one of the many people who knew Marty and appreciated him in person as well as through his writing. If you have time to read only one book on stuttering, I recommend Marty's book. In addition to a personal perspective that resonates with those of us who stutter, his book is an excellent work of reportage that presents solid information in a highly readable fashion.
