All of the information you had in this article is very helpful for future SLPs. It is interesting to read about the experiences and problems that someone who stutters faces, especially when they are able to talk about those obstacles openly. It is good to hear their view on what they expect/want from their clinician during therapy. As stated in the article, not all people who stutter have the same feelings or experience the same obstacles, but I believe most people who stutter can relate in some way to the obstacles Marty faced and the feelings he had. So, when a person who stutters no longer lets stuttering control their life, their input and thoughts on a good clinician is important and useful.
