I like how this article was presented. It made me have an interest in reading Marty's book on stuttering. I definetly think counseling is a big part of SLP therapy with clients. I am a SLP student and didn't realize that counseling is needed when working on stuttering. Because there are so many feelings that go along with stuttering. And those feelings need to be worked on first so they can be positive and hopeful that therapy will help them cope.
