I love your idea of empowerment. It seems that people who stutter start to believe that they don’t have control over their speech and this causes them to become discouraged. I thought your ideas for young children were great, handing out business cards and putting their hard talk in a box really gives them a sense of power. It seems it is harder to come up with creative ideas when creating empowerment activities for older individuals. Do you think that most of the empowerment has to happen outside of therapy, when they talk with other people who stutter?
