I truly enjoyed you article about empowering your clients. Your approaches to doing this are very practical and appreciated. As a student, sometimes I read about what a clinician should do in therapy for a client and I think "well, that sounds great, but can I have some specific examples of how to go about doing that?" I appreciated your suggestions and examples for each age group, particularly the idea of giving strategies for dealing with bullying. For school-aged children, peer acceptance and fitting in is such a critical part of socialization and success in school. Giving these kids a way to deal with bullying and empowering them not only in their speech, but in their lives and on the playground creates so much potential for growth! Thank you for posting some of your strategies.
