As far as I know, there has been no scholarly study of stuttering prevalence and incidence in China, not even at small scale. Before I left China at 2004, only one school, East China Normal University, in Shanghai, that has started a speech and hearing science BA. program. They should have some graduate students now. I don't know if there is any other formal training of speech language pathology in mainland China (Hong Kong has the SLP programs at university level, though). The deaf schools are used to hire graduates from special education. Thanks, Albert
