Albert, you've made some interesting observations that are, in some ways, more difficult for someone in the U.S. to make because of our political correctness. Nearly twenty years ago we passed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) largely, I believe, as a guilt reaction to disabilities. I believe that one finds the larger chunks of money and larger advertising budgest for more visible disabilities in addition to political and similar considerations. Cultures are still caught up in the need to separate out those who are different hence the need for things like the ADA.
