It was a very interesting point you made about how America seems much more accepting and open about stuttering, yet there are so many "jokes" about stuttering online. I'm in a fluency class and for an assignment we had to stutter in public and on the phone, and one of the reasons I was apprehensive was because I thought people would think I was "prank calling" them. Stuttering is not funny and I have no idea why anyone would think it's funny.
