Let me be frank. Currently speech therapies and other treatment choices generally are not able to improve fluency dramatically, at least in the long run. In China, mostly I have heard that pws want to be TOTALLY fluent, because even a mild stutterer can be significantly discriminated. Since nothing at this time can assure a fast, long-last effect of stuttering inhibition, it is, probably, more pertinent, to improve social awareness and increase social tolerance of stuttering in China, if the aim is to help the pws to lead a much happier life.
