Hi Marybeth, There's so many concepts in your article that I love, especially morphing. I am going to use this term with my own clients. It seems that it takes a while for my young clients to realize they can be agents of change. I need some help with engaging classroom teachers. I am in private practice seeing students who do not receive any speech therapy in school. So, my students' parents try to advocate for them in the classroom. Rarely do I get the chance to talk with teachers directly. I'll take anything at all you can give me for improving SLP-student-teacher ongoing communication so that the child is getting some kind of carryover support at school. I already donate the SFA DVD and booklet to every teacher, which is a terrific one-time teaching tool. But how to do I keep the conversation going long-distance through the year? It seems like an ABC chart would be a way to share therapy goals with adults outside the clinic who might be willing to nurture a child's sense that he/she can actually be an agent of change. It's wonderful to see you in this conference! I also love your articles in the National Stuttering Association Family Connections newsletters! Judy :)
