This year is different in raising stuttering awareness. I work with 20 employees in my Department. I have posted NSAW and ISAD posters on my wall in my office. However, this year I decided to take a different route. I walked into the Education Dept. for County Hospital and asked if they would announce ISAD to County employees. And the Education Dept. sent out the following to managers to share with employees: "If you know someone who stutters, a parent of a child who stutters or you are a person who stutters: International Stuttering Awareness Day is October 22nd. This year's theme is "People who Stutter, Inspire!"
