Alan, Yes indeed the most valuable audience we speak to is the student SLPs. (SLTs to you Welsh! Note that I did NOT say "Brits!" You taught me that! Ha, ha!) We can give them something they absolutely can NOT get from textbooks or lectures. I speak to students all the time, and they are a delight! I've learned fairly recently to take others with me when I give a presentation. I took a covert stutterer and a neurogenic stutterer with me once and the students were absolutely amazed at how differently we stuttered! I'm speaking at TCU (Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth) later this month and am taking the neurogenic stutterer with me. She had a traumatic brain injury in a car crash about ten years ago and she stutters VERY differently from me. Her membership in the NSA and these presentations have changed her life as well as helped education a bunch of students. It's really a LOT of fun! ... Hope you can make it to Ft. Worth next summer. My best to you, Russ
