Hi Bridget, Thank you, so much, for taking the time to read my paper and participate in the threaded discussion. I truly believe that sharing my story with others is to our mutual advantage. Several years ago, an SLP graduate student sent me an email that included the following sentence: “I learned more from you than from any book that I read, or lecture I attended”. It is so heartening to receive such responses – it makes all the travelling/effort worthwhile. Accepting the challenge of speaking to such diverse audiences has also contributed immensely to the gains that I have made during recent years. So, I have benefited too. :-) This paper has already resulted in me being invited to connect with another US university (by Skype). Who knows – maybe I’ll find myself addressing your class one day? I wish you every success with your studies and future career as a speech-language pathologist. Kindest regards Alan
