This semester I have an elementary school as my clinical site which has a few students who stutter. I have seen the attitudes of other kids about their peers' stuttering so my question is this... Could it be possible for these support groups to include children also? I feel as though their peers would be more accepting to the stuttering if they, too, were educated about stuttering. I, personally, did not know much about it until I was an undergraduate and had a guest speaker who stuttered and discussed it with us. I feel like more speakers should do this with the younger population.
