Anita, One more thing (at least). I have a bone to pick with you. You said in your reply to Sachin, "...I don't accept my stutter. I would throw it out of the window any minute." No you wouldn't. Sure it can be a pain in the ass sometimes and rather frustrating when you can't say something quickly, but so what? You and I have both said many times that we have been able to do things in life (travel, meet incredible people, have more fun than the law allows, etc.) BECAUSE we stutter. If we didn't stutter, would we be able to do these things? I can't imagine we would. Stuttering is what makes us unique in a fluent world. And facing our challenges with our speech is majorly inspiring to other people who wish they could do the same thing with their fears. Would you give that up if you could take a magic pink pill and become fluent? Ha! Not on your life! Fluency is boring. We become like just another grain of sand of the beach. People REMEMBER us. Not for the "horrible" fact that we stutter, but that we have the courage to face our fears. We ARE inspiring. And because of this, the world has given us opportunities that few people have. As you said in the very first line of your paper, "I'm one of the luckiest people on earth." YES! And we are lucky BECAUSE we stutter. Give that up? Not a chance, baby! Keep STUTTERING! Russ
