Alan, Thank you for spending time reading about my visit and making a comment. When I first spoke with you in the Chat room of StutteringChat I was amazed at the way you spoke. I thought you controlled your stammer very well indeed. I told myself, that is for me. What you can do, I will do. I learned over time that you no longer 'controlled' your stammer. You just spoke. I was very excited and repeated, that is for me. So I learned ways to control my stammer and stammer less. That increased my confidence. Then I used control less and just spoke more. In India, unless I was demonstrating, I used no control. I rarely stammered. This reinforced in my mind the 'state of mind when you speak' (NLP) plays a significant part in my problem. Also for a few years now I have trained myself to think positive and turn negative thoughts to positive ones. This is true of making goals. I do not have a goal of leaving stammering behind, I have a goal of improving my communication every day. Finally, the fulfilling part is the work I do in different Countries of the world. 'If I can help somebody as I pass this way, then my living shall not be in vain'. Till we meet again, Keith
