First, thanks for reading. I hope you took the times to watch and listen to the kids. Visit the web page for Friends: www.friendswhostutter.org for all kinds of information. You can contact the director, Lee, at her email found on the friends site. Friends has a teen mentoring program and parents who welcome and mentor new parents. There is an annaul 3 day convention - next year it is in Washington DC. Friends also facilitates a number of One-Day Workshops throughout the year in different cities. Graduate SLP students are encouraged to get involved, to learn about how stuttering impacts children and their families. And if you happen to be planning to go to the ASHA conference this year, you will see a Friends booth there and we could always volunteers. Again, visit the website and you will see much more of what Friends is all about!
