Hi Jennifer, thanks for writing. Have you as a clinician ever attended a support group yourself, so you know what it is like and the depth of disclosure that goes on? If no, you should, but always check with the group before hand. When I was attending a NSA group, we always welcomed visitors, because generally what is discussed in group is a lot different than what is discussed in therapy. Btw, I think its interesting you believe SLP's are experts in speech and language? I know some SLPs who have no clue how to handle stuttering. Hope you attend or start a support group! Best! ~Pam
