Hi Elizabeth, I use the audio and video to help the clients understand aspects of their own speech production and sometimes I send them samples of what they have done with me in practice so that they can use it as a reference when practicing between sessions. I also find that when clients begin speaking in a way that sounds normal, they are concerned that they don't sound normal. When they hear and see themselves speaking they are surprised that they really do sound natural and it reinforces their desire to continue speaking this way.
