As I said, I am hesitant to do teletherapy with preteens, unless I know them personally and see that they can handle it. I can't say that it is better than in person therapy. I think there are some special positives for each option. Interestingly, the attention seems better online, because the person doesn't think to leave the camera area unless they excuse themselves for some reason. Also the clients feel that the incubator effect of the clinic doesn't happen online. On the other hand, there technological problems to deal with. Also I can't go into the field with clients unless they live at a reasonable distance. Online we bring friends and family into the session.
