I am a 1st year graduate student in speech pathology and I am just beginning to learn about different therapy techniques used for stutterers. We have not learned about Teletherapy as of yet, but it seems like an excellent way of conducting therapy. It’s so wonderful that we have now have access to technology that will allow clinicians and clients to conduct therapy outside of the clinical setting. I think that the pros definitely outweigh the cons, and with technology getting better every day the cons will eventually become obsolete. I think this kind of therapy would encourage more stutterers to seek therapy because of the confidentiality and convenience of it. I would definitely like to offer this kind of therapy to my clients, and spread awareness of it throughout the stuttering community. Thank you for this very interesting article!
