Hello, I would first like to say that I enjoyed your article very much and agree with you about the benefits that can come from including video conferencing into therapy when appropriate. I do wonder if you have any more to say on possible security risks to client confidentiality that can arise when you exit the arena of closed circut monitoring. With client confidentiality being a priority in our field, to what degree do you feel we need address transmission security standards in regards to video conferencing? With the numerous demonstrations of data and identity theft on the internet, what precautions need to be taken in order to confidently carry out video conferencing with the same standards to confidentiality that apply in the clinic setting?
