Hello Barbara. I want to first say thank you for such a great article. It was very interesting. I am a graduate student in speech-language pathology and have never thought of or heard of providing stuttering therapy online. When I first read the title of your article, I must be honest, I thought it was going to be a joke. However, after reading it, I realize there are a lot of great benefits of online sessions. Therapy is much more flexible. I know you mentioned that you do the basic exercises in languages you do not know when necessary and that it's doesn't present any problems because the goal is not language dependent, but I was wondering if basic communication throughout the therapy sessions is difficult due to the language barrier. Do you use a translator in those situations? (for example, if the client has a general question or if they just want to share an experience they had, how do you overcome the language barrier in this type of situation?) Thank you.
