Hi Alan. Thanks for writing such a comprehensive post - it's an article in it's own right. And what a positive and empowering one too. I have to admit, I gained a lot out of your 'pushing out of comfort zones' workshop 3-4 years ago. In fact, it was after that weekend, I decided to visit the local Toastmasters group. I think stutterers like yourself, Anita, John Evans etc who go on to become internationally recognised public speakers are such a great role model for the rest of us. As it happens, I've been put forward by the BSA to do a speech at the local Rotary Club, which I'm really looking forward to. Strange how our beliefs and values can change so drastically - I cannot now imagine life without public speaking in some form or the other! Take care Alan, and best of luck with your public speaking engagements, although I don't think you need any luck!
