I listened to your entire podcast before reading your essay. I found it truly inspiring. Your honesty, positivity and compassion motivates me to become a SLP that will support and educate clients, families, and everyone else around me. I loved when you used the analogy of a "social filter" because I agree completely with you. If someone does not give you respect, there is something wrong with them not you. That person is not worth having around. They are most likely insecure, arrogant, and unintelligent. You have an amazing personality and a person would be crazy to not want to know you better. You inspire me in so many ways! Thank you for sharing and I look forward to hearing from you again.
