Hello Ellen, The short answer is not usually as this can complicate things for the parents and the child. Whenever possible we want to make the parents’ job as straightforward as we can. However, sometimes there are particular family reasons why excluding other siblings is not possible or when older siblings can actually help in the later stages of treatment. So I would never rule it out but it would be an individual decision and I would take great care to make sure that it was positive thing for the stammering child. All the best!
