I thought this paper was very interesting and also encouraging and helpful information to parents who have children who stutter. Many parents that have children who stutter may feel helpless, but the information in this paper gives these parents hope. The Lidcombe Program is a great tool for parents to help improve their children's fluency. Parents not only have to rely on strictly clinician-client sessions, but they can also be a great contributer to their child's stuttering treatment. This program not only makes the parents feel better about the progress of treatment, but the children who stutter often gain confidence because of their improved fluency.
