Dr. Hayhow, I found your essay to be particularly informative for me as I just read another essay on the Lidcombe Program by Dr. Rosalee Shenker. The parental involvement in the LP is an excellent aid in facilitating fluency; however, as you addressed it can also be the downfall. Lack of confidence on the part of the parent and child will result in reduced success rate. The Lidcombe Program is an excellent example of a treatment that can be used in a multidimensional stuttering treatment plan. Thank you for sharing!
