Hello, when using the LP we don’t alter the child’s environment although subtle changes may occur as parents become more experienced and comfortable with their child’s stuttering. Also the skills they learn while doing the LP can have a more general effect on communication and general behaviour management in the home. The stuttering foundation of America has some good resources for therapists and parents suggesting ways of making constructive changes to the communication environment. I hope you find this helpful.
