Hello. I really enjoyed reading your article! I am a first year grad student and we have just begun to talk about Lidcombe in my fluency disorders course. I was just wondering, what do you do in a situation where the parent does not want to participate or does not believe their child has a fluency problem? How do you get them to participate to the best of their abilities so that this method of treatment will be effective? Also, if Lidcombe is about teaching the parent to praise/correct speech, what does the clinician do with the client during therapy? Does the client listen as the clinician teaches the parent how to use the Lidcombe technique? Thank you in advance!!
