I believe in addressing the problems and not ignoring them, but my question is, since children don't have the best recollection sometimes, is it better to implement self correction strategies with them at the moment when the stuttering takes place even if it's in front of strangers or in front of peers? Or should it wait until the parent and child are in a private setting?
