Hi James, I apologize for my late response but unexpected family events have kept me away from my computer for a few days. I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘strictly parent approach’. Parents spend a lot of time teaching their children things and helping them make alterations to their behaviour. With the LP we are teaching parents to use specific behaviours in response to their children’s stuttering but they are not that different to the way many parents provide feedback on aspects of their children’s behaviour. The example, praising or encouraging a child when they eat their breakfast without making a fuss, tidy their rooms, be nice to the cat or any of the other 101 things children do throughout the day. I’m not sure I’ve answered your question but I’ve had a go. With best wishes
