I really appreciate the time you took to focus on this issue. It is my strong belief that parental contributions outside of the therapy session is one of the most important factors when trying to decrease stuttering. Attidues and self-motivation have been strongly supported by reasearch that suggest higher motivation increases success rates.I believe that if the parents present the right atttitude and have an accurate perception of the stuttering, it will increase the child's attitudes and self-motivation about working on producing slow easy speech (and decreasing stuttering episodes) thus increaseing motivation and success. Futhermore,I am at the begining stage of researching and learning about stuttering and its always great to hear about stuttering assessment tools such as the LB (which I plan to become more familier with) . Thank you for such a great paper. This paper was very informative and a really good tool to use within the clinical and non-clinical setting. I would strongly encourage parents to share their experinces as disorder well!
