Dr. Hayhow, First of all, I want to applaud you on a very informative and yet questioning topic. It has certainly sparked many conversations in this thread. Secondly I wanted to ask, would it be best to focus the parent on commenting on the child's speech, or to educate the parent on how to facilitate better fluency in the home. I understand that it may be a combination of both that is best, but I have a feeling that some parents may feel that it is their responsibility to correct the moments of stuttering, rather than helping to prevent them in the first place. Thank you. Jade C.
