Hi Naomi, There is always a risk that if treatment procedures are used incorrectly they can harm a child. That is why parent training is such an important part of the LP and why SLPs who use it need to be properly trained. I don’t think we need to warn parents but clinicians need to be aware of possible risks so that they understand the importance of regular clinic visits and of following the clinic visit structure as detailed in the LP manual (ASRC website, SLP downloads).
