Hey Lori! Thanks for your kind words. Yeah, the story of that first Toastmasters club for stutterers is pretty amazing. A lot of my "accomplishments" were really done at gunpoint. I was a Toastmasters Division Governor at the time and the President of Toastmasters International came to my officer training session. (She was from our North Texas District.) I told her about my NSA involvement and without hesitation she told - not asked but TOLD - me to form a Toastmaster club within the Dallas NSA. What do you say to the President of Toastmasters International? Only one thing: "Yes ma'am!" And so the club was born. True story! Ha, ha, ha! .... We have LOTS of challenges ahead of us, don't we? How's the stuttering SLP group coming along? Do it! ... See you in Ft. Worth next summer. ... Russ
