Hi Russ--Thanks for a delightful paper on the benefits of Toastmaster's and other public speaking opportunities. You haven't convinced me to join Toastmaster's myself yet, but it sure looks more appealing to me than before I read your paper. As an instructor of a graduate course on fluency disorders, I am totally in agreement with you on the importance of having people who stutter visit with my students. There is truly no substitute for having them hear someone tell their own story and being able to ask them questions face-to-face. So, I applaud you and all of the folks who stutter who have spoken to SLP students. You provide a very important element in the education of future SLPs. All the best, Lynne
